Project Management
The Swiss Institute is a non-profit contemporary art institution situated in New York City that showcases and promotes contemporary art exhibitions, performances, and events. It offers a platform for Swiss artists to exhibit their works and encourages cultural exchange between Switzerland and the United States through a diverse range of programming.
To construct its new home in the East Village neighborhood, extensive renovations were required, and new systems were installed in a former bank building. This involved restoring the brick facade and glazing on the exterior, reinforcing the existing floor slabs, especially the roof, and installing all new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, along with a new elevator.
The project was completed within a tight timeline while containing costs within the budget. The construction team worked closely with the Swiss Institute throughout the project to accommodate tours and fundraising events.
